Mexican-born Ibis Perea, has been a globetrotter of sorts, having lived in the UK, Italy, France, and in the Middle East. With over 10 years of experience in sales, marketing, and advertising, Ibis has developed an extensive network of contacts in the promotional and related fields. Ibis started practicing various forms of yoga in 1998 and over a decade ago, found her true calling

in Bikram Yoga.

 

After graduating from Bikram Yoga College of India, Ibis's own yoga practice and teaching have helped her immensely to connect to herself, enabling profound self-realization, and tapping into her own energy for the good of her mind and body.

 

In November  of 2015 Ibis traveled to San Jose del Cabo, Mexico to study with yoga master Tony Sanchez.

 

In November 2015  Ibis traveled to San Jose del Cabo Mexico, to study with yoga master Tony Sanchez,  to further expand her knowledge for the yoga, its philosophical approach, and to help new students to understand from within the magic that yoga is.

Tony,  teaches 91 asanas in the Ghosh Lineage, with emphasis on personal practice, awareness, alignment, therapeutic benefits

and spinal intent.

 

Tonys humbleness, honesty with his practice and commitment has taught me  that the way you live in your body is how you perceive the world, and through the physical body one can change such perceptions and live a fulfilling, happy life.Ibis lives and teaches by one simple mantra which is that “real pleasure, the real peace, the real enlightenment is to give. And the more you give,

the more you get.”

 

“The physical aspects of the yoga postures are very important to me, but so are the mental and spiritual. The postures can heal our bodies and make them strong. The breathing, mindfulness and meditation can heal our spirits and quiet our minds”

Mental stress is the cause of all diseases, even the infectious ones. Regular practice can calm the mind, increase mental clarity and release and reduce stress and tension.

ABOUT BIKRAM YOGA

 

Bikram Yoga is a series of 26 Hatha Yoga postures and two Pranayama breathing techniques designed to provide a challenging, invigorating, rejuvenating and effective experience. During this 90-minute class, you will work every muscle, tendon, ligament, joint and organ, resulting in an almost enlightening sense of well-being.

 

Through our Bikram Yoga class offerings, The Lifestyle Company provides quality individual and group experience for every yogi. Our instructors offer beginner’s tips to our newcomers in each class, and accompany each yogi through their physical and personal development into their best expression of each pose. Bikram Yoga is suitable for everyone from the inexperienced beginner to the most skilled practitioner.

 

Whatever your age or prior yoga experience (if any at all), this yoga will benefit your body and mind in ways you never imagined possible!

 

ABOUT GHOSH YOGA

 

The Ghosh lineage has a tradition of a system of 84 asanas (postures). Both Bose’s (1938) and  Mukerji’s (1963) books contain 84 postures. Bikram Choudhury’s “Advanced Class” is sometimes referred to as the “84 Asanas” even though it is more than 84 postures (it comes from a list of 91). Tony Sanchez teaches a sequence of approximately 104 postures but often refers to the 84 postures in the tradition.

 

Yoga as passed down from Bishnu Charan Ghosh is about health in the body and stillness in the mind. It uses simple therapeutic exercises to mobilize and strengthen every area of the body, from the eyes down to the toes, including the internal organs and systems. It uses postures (asanas) to bring grace and control to the body and stillness to the mind. It uses breathing exercises and meditation to reduce stress and anxiety and begin on the path of spirituality.
